Deep, dark, very barrel forward sipper stout. Notes of sherry, tawny port, dates, fig, earthy vanilla, dark toffee, leather, tobacco, malty in the mix. At a kick in the mads of 17.3% I will be nursing the teets off of this gem.

Maybe it was just my mood but I thought this was delicious. Velvety smooth with very complex barrel notes. I’m extremely impressed that they were able to hide the 17.3% ABV. I don’t know if I would call this a stout but it was very good. Thanks, Mom lol

They’re not kidding about the barrel aged.

Smells like dark chocolate and coffee, toffee. Tastes of chocolate roasted malt. Medium to heavy body. Lingering burnt toast finish

Lots of dark fruits, coffee and chocolate. Drinks easy for such a big beer.

Night before vacation beer. Smells like booze. Tastes like chocolate booze. Surprisingly incredibly smooth. This will be something indescribable after 5 years of aging.

Cellared 6 months, for a bottle over a year old. Big spirit nose. Taste is barrel. Dark fruit. Big sweet malts. A lotta wood. Not thick. Not quite feeling the ABV. Likely would stand more cellaring, although unsure this will change. A sipper ... 4.4
