Not very impressive right out of the fridge but became better as it warmed. Dark fruits, sweetness, and barrel characteristics.

Jeez this is strong. Very flavorful. I like the warm, sharp barley taste. Such a great barrel aged stout.

Sam Adam's buys out DFH, figured this would happen. Definitely needs to warm up to drop the boozy bite but, colder, you get more pronounced flavors on the nose. Drinks easier than 17% warm. Not bad for $10 btl

Insanely good. Exactly what I expected. Boxy, warming, barrel-forward and rich.

Boozy for sure, would probably do good with some time, but definitely a solid beer when you only have places like total wine to find good beers when you travel.

Saved it for a while, but it was time to man up... it was slow drinking due to the high abv. The finish got me the most, it was almost spicy

Never had the original or oak aged but would now seek them out. This is excellent.

Not bad for a barrel age and for the abv. Not as malty as most and not over powering with bourbon or oak flavor.

This beer is stupid. For lack of a better description, this beer is basically Kirkland-brand Utopias. Which is by no means a bad thing!
