Charles Wesley’s Drinking Buddy
12 hours flying + driving. Left 85 degree breeze in Cali to encounter 95 in Nola (extra humidity/no breeze) picked some brews now home.

Chocolate and oak on the nose. Slightly sharp mouthfeel, fullish mouthfeel. Oak, boozy and a hint of chocolate throughout the palate and finish.

Dark and punchy. Barrel notes in spades and balanced alcohol for days. Definitely a dipper.

Thanks Dad! Was looking for something unique for the weekend and found this on the shelf, great heavy duty beer!

Tasty! Brandy & dried apricots lead, quickly joined by caramel, milk choc, deeply vinous cab, golden raisins, port, pinch of toasted brown sugar, pomegranate, & sherry mid-taste, w/ cherry- & molasses-loaded bourbon & rum-soaked fruitcake @close. 4.35.

The only time I’ve had Utopias was at GABF in 2019. I figured since I’ll be back at GABF this week for the first time since then, I’d start my week with this. Very good!

Waiting for it to warm up - but very smooth with a heavy booze component

Snowy goodbye to Thanksgiving weekend. Glad I saved some of this for Sunday

Two years in the bottle certainly didn't hurt. Really opens up when warm.

Belgian dark chocolate, espresso, light barrel vanilla and oak. Big and strong. Wish I had more bottles to put away for some more years.

Have been saving this one for a while. It's good but leaves a harsh, alcoholic, lingering aftertaste.
