Somehow I’ve never checked this in - has been a few years, I guess. An OG beer that always satisfies. Coffee and smooth, lightly roasty, chocolate. Delicious.

Kriek 100% Lambic Chen

Couldn’t resist the siren call of the Cantillon. 12/14/22 bottle, bright and lightly funky, loads of cherry, lightly tart. Super tasty and much better than the last time I had it at Shelton Fest in ATL.

90 Minute Imperial IPA Chen

Kind of liking this being my tradition on train trips - haven’t had one since my last Amtrak trip a few years ago. Still good!

Palo Santo Marron (2014) Chen

Been a while since I’ve had this but always liked it a lot. Took advantage and snagged an old 9/23/14 bottle at BC recently - held up great. Smooth, nose and palate full of dates/figs and some woody sweetness. You can taste the age but not quite oxidized.

Punkin Ale (2022) Chen

FTOD; good nose but body a little heavy/musty, bit too sweet (bb 8/1/24).

Gueuze (2021) Chen

Taking advantage of the stellar selection. Stinky and delicious.

Oktoberfest Chen

Maybe it’s being out at my first firing experience in the cold but this tasted extra good. 8/3/21 can.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Chen

FLN. So crazy to get this in VA - loads of raspberries, earthy and lightly tart, slightly savory toward the end. Very tasty. 4/2021 bottle. 4.4.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Chen

Smooth, thinner body, solid cinnamon and vanilla, mellow BA. Solid.

Punkin Ale Chen

Been a few years since I had this and it’s quite nice, like I remember it from back in the day. Light pumpkin/yam, not too sweet, clean and light.

Nemesis (2021) Chen

Haven’t had this in about 11 years - looks like it was changed to a BW from a maple BBA wheat wine this time. This tastes how I remember Bigfoot used to when I liked it - smooth and malty with some roastiness and just enough bitterness. 3/8/21 bottle.

Nemesis (2009) Chen

I’m allowed to check it in if I saved the bottle, right? Guess it was a maple BBA wheat wine back in ‘09 and I remembered loving it. Purchased 2010 at Adventures in Wine and Beer in Hendo, NC if I recall and drunk that year.

KBS Espresso (2020) Chen

Still drinking nice with lots of roastiness, coffee has mellowed some. Smooth. 11/15/19 bottle.

Raison D'Extra (2014) Chen

Interesting change, been 2-3y at least since I had this vintage - has gotten lighter in body and tasted more like a liquer now. Slightly syrupy with raisin and brown sugar notes still evident. 4.4.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Chen

Loads of fudge, thick and just sweet enough. Not much maple or BBA that I can tell. Solid. 10/14/20 bottle.

Campfire Amplifier Chen

Chocolate but not much else. Smooth, subtle sweetness. 9/29/20 bottle. Thanks, Larry!
