Sour - Other

We teamed up with our pals at Angry Orchard to produce this mixed media expression of our fermentation worlds. We began with a mixed culture farmhouse ale brewed with pilsner, spelt, rye, wheat and Vienna malts that had been aged in French oak Chardonnay barrels for 2 years. Then we blended it with Estate-grown apple cider from Angry Orchard’s New York orchard using select apple varieties to complement the acidity of the beer. The result is a wonderfully tart, fruity, almost champagne-esque drinking experience full of aromatic apples, bright acidity, pungent funk and oaky dryness.

A smoky funk tart. But not too strong in either characteristic. Great drink.

It’s definitely solid and flavorful. Not my favorite style of sour but one I would have no problem getting again.

Funky & puckery lol…too much for me, but that is the style they were going for, so…nailed it! 😂🍻

It’s not bad, plus it came with a pair of sunglasses. I can’t find them now but they were quite stylish.
