If you’ve ever wondered “What would raspberry flavored cough syrup taste like?” It’s not that bad, but it’s a heavy, slow sipper. This would be a beast fresh.

5 years old but it hasn't oxidized a bit. Still really hot tbh.

Really enjoyed this. Surprised at how well the raspberry flavor held up!

I liked it and would get it again but it was pushing the sweetness almost too far me

Almost no head, murky orange amber, raspberry jam, fruitcake, honey nose, rich rock candy, dried apricot, malty fruit palate, mouth coating, long honeyed finish, drinking like a fine dessert wine, though not as strong raspberry and complex as last bottle.

For a strong ale this is very drinkable. Like a framboise with half the sweetness. Lots of raspberry. Not overly boozy. Just right. 😉

Held up well, little darker then I remember other years .thank you Brian A.

2015, to me it’s more like a barleywine than a Belgian, raspberry but not too sweet, rich.

My turn to share—-it was time for this to see how it held up. Still a nice taste to it with plenty of raspberry to it.

This continues to age well in ye olde cellar. Up to this point, at least, I think it has continued to improve with age.

Bottled 10/23/15. Still tasty! Bought this one in FL while living in OH and now finally drinking it in WI.

Still good but probably should have had this a few years ago.

Not as fruitful as when fresh, but still packs a punch

The last bottle from a case bought in 2015. An oldie but a goody.

Tastes like a raspberry barley wine. Sweet fruits and a smooth mouthfeel. Still feeling the heat on this big ale!! Held up well.

Sean and I are definitely having opposite taste/smell sensations...that being said, though, this is a damn banger. I get way more raspberry in the beer itself rather than in the nose...relatively little alcohol bite for 18%

Delicate and sweet raspberry on the nose, but you can tell there is a punch in your face waiting behind it. Rich, bold, sweet raspberry on top of a floral malty Belgian strong foundation. Smooth as hell, and only slight alcohol esters. Marvelous.

First sip was ridiculously hot, but better afterwards. Came into its own as it warmed to room temperature. Not a bad 5 year aging.

Dark raspberry nose. The plate is just a massive hodgepodge of dark, aged, smooth dark fruits and those aged undertones of caramel and oak.

Hop bitterness is present but dulled. Juicy raspberries are mildy tart and a little bitter. What a treat.
