Kernza Pils

Pilsner - German

With a restless desire to create what hasn't yet been imagined, we've teamed up with our friends at Patagonia Provisions to craft an innovative pilsner that aims to restore our planet with every sip. A crisp, refreshing German-style pilsner, Kernza® Pils is brewed with organic barley, organic Contessa hops, and Kernza® - a revolutionary new long-rooted perennial grain developed by The Land Institute. Bursting with floral notes, Kernza® Pils is bright and snappy, with a subtle spiciness thanks to the Kernza® addition. Every sip you take helps us plant more Kernza®, fight the climate crisis and brew more delicious beer ... we'll cheers to that!

It’s nice and crisp but not really my thing. There a are bread, cracker and grain flavors and aromas on the malt side along with floral and perfumy hops.

I liked it better when hopworks made Long Root ale but this is still solid.

Good Pilsner, interested to see what other breweries do once they get their hands on kernza.

This is a delicious Pilsner. Bright, sweet and nutty, pilsners are not something I gravitate toward, but could drink this on a regular basis.

Has a crisp creaminess that makes you grabbing for it at the summer BBQ. You won’t get bored with it after the first 2.
