This is the 2017 variant that was on tap at the Dogfish Head Alehouse recently. Still mellow and smooth without much fusel burn. Not as sweet and syrupy as some other barleywines and really just a joy to sip.

Bottled:10/27/14. So good. Smooth AF. Big dig flavor hanging around. I think this may have gotten slightly more alcoholic since it was bottled 😅

Bottled 10/27/14 only got 7 bottles left. If someone can get Sam to brew this again please I will buy 10 cases no matter what the cost ! Special beer for the Tag your it badge!

Either 2012 or 2013 version. Phenomenal for 8 year aging. So smooth. Raisin notes with subtle perfume/spice notes coming through

2008 bottle aged 13 years. Malty and smooth wine flavor. Wow. 15% baseline…who knows the ABV hidden by this.

2007 vintage. This is amazing. Sweet, heavy, boozy, thick. Did i say boozy? This was the perfect dessert to our Mad Elf vertical!

I feel privileged to drink a beer so delightful and so rare. The figs and dates blend perfectly with the malt. So smooth and complex. Idc how much a bottle is. Get it once. Spend the money.

EBF R2. Pours a dark ruby (held to light) with a white head that fades quickly. The cherry and stone fruit scents are amazing. I could just sniff the glass all night. Smooth sweetness with a nice warming finish. Very dynamic flavors and finish beer
