Curious since I've baked with sumac but I don't like reds. Copper color, aroma like cranberries or tart cherries. Complex flavor profile, kinda spicy? Not sure if I'd ever care to have another, but I appreciate the creative concept.

Sauer, but malty, estery yet minty. This beer has no reference point. Just gonna drink it and move on... Tom Papa on Netflix. Pretty good stuff.

Yeah definitely no longer resembling the grand cru base. Way lighter, no tart/acetic remaining from the grand cru. More dilute & I’m not digging the spice - they say sumac. They also say toffee but it’s really light bodied & a bit watery.

Malty, but I'm not tasting much else. It certainly doesn't taste like a red. It's almost a sour, but not really sour. I dunno. It's really not bad, I just can't say it's good.

This beer drinks surprisingly very light and thin. Cherry aromas and flavors, some toffee.
