Totally expected this to be sour with Rodenbach involved, but not at all. It is simply a deep and complex red ale. Up front maltiness, but very light, bodied and crisp, finishing dry and bitter. Interesting beer.

Tasty. Strong upfront, smooth after. I like the after taste. Nice one by Dogfish.

I like this one. A Red with a bit of a difference. Typical good deep toasted malt notes of slightly overdone biscuit. Some caramel and honey from orange blossom in there. Maybe some other fruit here... Plum or prune (dried plum)? Rich, clingy foam.

Knida flanders like, solid beer from Dogfish. First new beer that I've liked from the in a long time. Old ones a classic

Not too shabby. Hint of cherry or something. Nice abv.

I registered it as a pretty decent, though noticeably more complex, red but reading the backstory netted it a higher score and made me appreciate it a little more. Nabbed out of the bargain bin to boot. Not a go-to style for me but an enjoyed side trip.
