Lambic - Gueuze

The lambic in foeder no. 31 aged for four and a half years before it became this Oude Geuze. It’s typified by its fine carbonation and pleasant cognac-like nose. The fluent and mellow but strong aroma with hints of apricots and walnuts is supported by a clear oak character. Brewed on 30 November 2015, bottled on 14 May 2020.

Toujours plaisant de boire une VAT, celle-ci a une prise de mousse étonnamment réussie selon mes expériences avec la série et on sent vraiment le cognac. Pas pour les doux, mais quand même très buvable dans l’ensemble! Une bière de méditation.

De geur zou cognac zijn, ik heb nog nooit cognac gedronken maar het ruikt naar roest of stro. De smaak is relatief mals, mooi afgerond. De abrikoos smaak die de fles verkondigt komt duidelijk door, de walnoot is subtieler. Het eik is een mooie achtergrond
