Double fruited Melomel with Blackcurrant as an amplified version of our 2019 July's melomel, Svart. Insanely sharp fruit. Boozy. Aniseed somewhere. Unusual, as Mead Scientist do.

Stunning! Intense blackcurrent, so a little crisp tartness on a soft honey sweet basis. Not sweet, and a pleasure to drink on this sunny day. (It reminds me of a beautiful “creme de cassis” from an old lady in the Cote d’Or)

Super tart at the beginning, but then fades into a (and I know this sounds crazy) bourbon-like sweetness. Let this linger at least a minute between sips so the flavor develops!
