Lightly tart with a lot of artificial orange sweetness, not my jam

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice Weet
Shining example of breweries running out of ideas for a strong beer. This isn’t bad though, some molasses should’ve been added for a more sweet element to offset all the spice. Pretty boozy.

One of the better hazy IPAs I’ve had from a national player, but it’s gonna be an ask from Founders to get the juicewolves to go for this aside from hundreds of local/regional options. Thanks Will!

Unfermentables fairly balanced but there’s a twang in the finish that I cannot figure out if it’s a tartness or not. Would like a bit more coffee. Still not as good as the maple or the hazelnut variants.

The adjuncts have substantially tempered the booze in this.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Weet
The base is my favorite Founders beer ever, and the adjuncts all but dominate it, but that’s not to say it’s pretty decadent. A touch harsh being fresh as regular Backwoods is. But the unfermentables are pretty well balanced, could’ve been a mess.

A little oaky, but not overly sweet or heavy. Not hot and drinking smooth for a July bottling at 10%. Reminiscent of Avery The Kaiser.

Not quite as sweet as I think we all expected. Typically I age all iterations of KBS but had to open this relatively fresh one because of my love of hazelnut. Almost want to give the edge to the maple Mackinac but this is very good.

Underground Mountain Brown (2019) Weet
Coffee aroma & flavor is all but fine, but this mellowed nicely.

Oude Geuze White Vermouth Foeders Weet
This is incredibly good. Acid, tartness on point.

Celebratory bottle. Heart rate finally settled down.

I’m impressed. Chocolate covered coffee beans. No heat. Very rich.

This is the best beer I have had from Founders utilizing a lager yeast. Thanks Lindsay! Canned 8/7/20, Chill.

Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout (2020) Weet
For whatever reason putting WWS in some type of barrel makes a fresh batch of it insanely enjoyable.

4 years tempered the booze. Birthday gift from Charbs. Raspberry pie & chocolate.
