Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA
FLN. Shared with a bunch of guys at our annual Hold’em tourney. Quite the one-time experience!

A fantastic refresher between these big stouts, but also phenomenal in its own right.

I been pleasured 6times this week by a Dirty Bastard. Forgot how good this beer is.

Really enjoy the richness and depth of maltiness this brings. Makes me miss (and a reminder to find some) Backwoods!

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend (2016)
Bombastic! One of the best guezes I’ve put in my face. Incredible!

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022)
It’s great for sure but even a taster might be too much for me. Super sweet maple vanilla and big cinnamon. I don’t get much of the base and that’s the beer I adore tbh.

Funky mix of hops, kinda grassy coconut, with a sweet honey oak and tart wild funk. Unique for sure with the blending. Would appreciate more bitterness for an IPA. Feel like the carb is kinda in the way… long through the finish with a herbal note

Don’t need that one again. More fake orange flavor wheat beer. Ugh Rick! No electric means clear out the beer fridge since I’m behind on these anyway.

The last of my two $5 clearance 4packs. They don’t really get better with age, and the cold weather is about done. Time to finish it off!

Sigh. I had to try this and it’s good for what it is, I just generally hate these things.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)
I didn’t even remember I had a 4pk of this earlier in the year. But it was hard to pass up another for $5.99 at Country Fresh. I nabbed two and left the last one 😎

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)
Planned on the Central Waters cake beer as being my nightcap but after that massive drainpour, this will help move things to the next level.

Big and burly and while I think the dry roasty notes are interesting it becomes too much. The bitterness is spot on for a fresh BW tho. I just want more of that traditional malt character and less roast.

A highly roasty offering in both malts and the coffee. Burnt bitter roast follows with a dark chocolate sweetness and dry cocoa finish. Oats add body and creaminess. Overall just too much acrid burnt roast flavors, detracts from the rest of the flavors

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)
Watching the “1971” music documentary on AppleTV. Really good so far.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)
A massive chocolate, coffee, and oaky bourbon bomb. Fresh and lively, and even if it is 90% as good as it used to be, it’s still 90% better than most other offerings of it’s kind. A $17/4pk find too!

A chocolaty maple dessert treat. So easy drinking. The barrel is laid back but ever present.

Sweet and lightly roasty with a touch of vanilla, but I get none of the marshmallow, and maybe a only a hint of the cinnamon and graham, but it’s way in the finish. Underwhelmed tbh.

Apricots and the most austere clean sourness, a hint of bitterness in the finish with a mildly jaw clenching tart. F me... day made.
