I didn't particularly care for this Squall, as opposed to the "Hazy Squall". I thought it came up quite short for an 8.0% A. B. V. Definitely needs more citrusy grapefruit flavor. A bit too non-descript for what it portrays itself as being.

I actually enjoyed this hazy I. P. A. with its tropical, citrusy hoppiness. Very soft on the palate and easy to drink.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2018) Manga
A true to style Belgian geuze. Sour and acidic in taste. Had to have something special at Cafe Gollem. One of the original Amsterdam beer bars.

A super hard sour to find in bottle, let alone on draught. The back of your tongue will dance from the sourness. Soft apricot flavors. Quite special. I'm transported back to Belgium.

Cuvée Moeder Lambic (Kriek) Manga
What else is there to say about Cantillon Kriek? Tart cherry taste.

Quite interesting. Vinous, like a fortified wine. Has the sourness you would expect from Cantillon. Reminds me very much of a tawny port with age.

Tyrnilambic Baie d'Argousier Manga
The most funky of those tried. Nose is almost of a ripe cheese or "smelly feet", but DON'T be put off. Dry taste. Lightly acidic. I like the nuances of this one.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) 2022 Manga
Thin and still with a wonderful grapefruit taste imparted by the addition of hallertau hops.

A nice low acid, tart sourness with a dry aftertaste. Magnificent dry red grape flavors. For all those beeropilies, beers like these reinforce that it's O. K. to cross over to wine; but just once in a while.

The pure stuff. Many don't like it's acidic tartness/sourness. That's o. k., it leaves more for the hardcore gueuze/lambic lover. Has an earthiness to it.

What's there not to like about any I. P. A. brewed by Founders? An easy drinker, but at 7.2% A. B. V., it can creep up on you rather quickly. Citrusy and piney hoppiness. Thanks for sharing, Dale.

Grolsch Dubbel (Proeverij) Manga
A smooth malt bomb, as one would expect from a dubbel, not Belgian, but Dutch. A good find at the supermarket in Aruba.

The culmination of a ten (10) different hop infused American-style I. P. A. Tasty after all the years of Dave-cellering. Once again, I would love to have tried this fresh when the hops were still hopping.

An I. P. A. that maintained some of it's hoppy, citrusy, tropical fruit characteristics, but did not benefit from ageing. I would, once again, liked to have tried this while it was fresh. Probably an unfair rating because of this.

Golden Shower Imperial Pilsner Manga
A nice dark golden hued imperial pilsner that has a somewhat strong tasting A. B. V. Malty sweetness with the most subtle hop nuance.

I have definitely had this ale before, but must have forgot to enter it. Interestingly, this ale is extremely well balanced between mango sweetness and the subtle spiciness of habanero pepper. Definitely not a hot palate blaster. Nicely done Founders!

I'm generally not a fan of the too oft over spiced pumpkin beers, but Punkin is definitely done right. Very drinkable and enjoyable. If you're looking for a fall pumpkin beer that's not like chewing on a cinnamon stick; this is the one.
