A bit of sulfur on the nose for me. When I could clear the head space, it tasted good.

Piercing Pils (2013) The Ax Man
What goofball aged a pils for a decade to see what would happen? I guess that is me. Some of the hops mellowed and there is a bit of them coming out of solution. The pear flavor is also mellowed, but it is morphed into a light caramel malt. Nifty.

Beautiful dark stout that is just hitting great tonight. The ABV is subtle, and the dried dark fruit/toffee note is balanced out. Untappd needs a draft function. Imagine it didn't lose all the nice words about this. Some of my best work.

I love when a beer challenges expectations. It is a mighty good session IPA, and while you won't confuse it with a triple IPA, you might not taste it as a tiny brew. Balanced with hop flavor and biscuity malt backbone.

A nice bit of almost spice, almost oak, and hints of fruits. Sumac brings a nice depth of flavor and color. A worldwide beer.

A bit boozy, but in a good way as it balances some sweetness. A great break in the middle of this lovely day.

A nice old bottle. Some fruity notes with almost a pomegranate molasses note. Held up to some age well.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) The Ax Man
Pretty f*@%ing good. Smooth AF, and drinks like it is more like 8%. Rich, malty, a little maple hint (maybe oakey), but not boozey. Chocolate and caramel with vanilla richness. Would love to taste side by side with utopian and "plain" WW stout.
