French Toast Bastard 2023 Sileika
Let's jam. This is wonderful. Old-school Backwoods Bastard meets the diner.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Sileika
Had a few sips and thought "perfect, the cinnamon died down a bit." Based on my last comment I am satisfied. Beer cat tax.

Backwoods Bastard (2015) Sileika
Sublimely mellowed out. Still some tobacco and slight peat, but much thinner. Caramel and roasted coffee peak throughout, with a gentle vanilla oak combo.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2017) Sileika
6 years of love. Dried out, like a champagne. Complex with delicate layers with every sip.

Backwoods Bastard (2017) Sileika
The last of the 4 pack. 6 years+ and still excellent. More oak presence as it has been resting and drying out. Toffee is milder, but still there. One of the last 4 pack I bought before we moved to our home 6 years ago!

Founders was always class, and continues to be. The almost-two year matured this beautifully.

Revisting this beer in 1.5 years time really made it shine. Hops are subdued, but relentlessly present.

A HIPA with lots of melon flavors (cantaloupe hits me). A bit edgy, mellowing out as it settles a bit.

Not some Mickey the Mope not for nothin'. Plenty fresh to bombard your face clean off with hops. It's dank, it's fruity, and the resin mixes with more-than-ample malts.

Almost 3 years in and this keeps getting smoother and more rounded. Just a deep, dark, rich beer, with nothing to be pretentious about.

Sublime! Hazelnut has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Mix in KBS, and this is a win! Thanks to my Bride!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Sileika
Lovely stuff! Letting it sit a bit in the basement certainly helped mellow and marry the cinnamon and coffee notes to be more on par with the vanilla and cocoa.

These are always yummy. A year in the fridge did it no harm.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Sileika
Take a knee, lads. This one tickles ya real special. So deep and dark, yet wonderfully fruity. Each sip of roasted malts and coffee is reset with a this exquisite barrel mix.

Almost a hint of smoke from the malts, hitting heavy with roast, toasty notes. This aged well!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Sileika
The base and coffee is this is fantastic! I think a year or two of mellowing will tone down the cinnamon and join this thing in better matrimony.

Espresso and barrel love right here. A bit thin for what it could be, but that is a minor quibble.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2015-2016) Sileika
A gem of a beverage. Light and loaded with dried fruit, slight funk, loads of yeast esters. This is a limbic folks.

Like I said, bug fan of this series. The grapefruit is a nice touch of tartness to boost up in the imperialism of the gose. Last night

Más Agave Prickly Pear Sileika
I'm a fan of this series. It's like a beer cocktail, pulling in a great salinity. Plus, prickly pear is an underused flavor that is the shiz! Last night.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend Sileika
Funkalicious definition. Dry and aromatic, loaded with fruit skins and earth. Last night.

This is the OG (the G means Genius, in the words of I've Cube). A pure, unadulatered, resinous, piney... bomb. But it's approachable. The malts stand tall and hold this precipice of pure sexiness.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Sileika
Didn't take a damn picture of the beer, but here is the house after the girls got done with it! Such a solid brew, with loads of mocha goodness. The coffee is exactly how I like it, without the overbrewed Starbucks shittiness.
