Seemed a little more vinous the last time I had this (a 2020 blend) but I have very few notes, from the farmy nose to that tart finish.

Gueuze (2023) G

This is the business. Farmyard nose with that classic gueuze funk.

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV G

Happy Zwanze Day! Kelpy, salty and I don’t know, iodine hitting you in the nose and all the way down. It’s a meal of beer, although the flavour is a lot lighter on the mouth than the aroma would suggest.

So balanced and so fruity without punching you in the face. Love it.

Single Barrel 2 Year Lambic G

First drop on the tour. Sweet and lightly sour, and lovely after listening to the history of lambics for an hour or so.

After wandering Copenhagen all day in 3°C, stumbled upon this outdoor shipping container street market (a “gathering”). We’re all sat on benches by the river like it’s summer. So this beer seems citrusy and appropriate - even if calendar says otherwise.
