Earlier this afternoon | Collaboration GLOW | CanSharing with Anna•k 🧡 All hail to International Women’s Day • fat, rich and lovely this 10.4% TIPA •

More and more rarely I feel tempted to pop such a big bottle by myself. Sharing is so much better! George as it is is likeable. This feels so much more boozy than I didn’t expect. Strong liquor like... like an untamed lion! And too unpredictable. No good

This version holds 12.0%. “Cecil, sæd og egen hest”! One statement from Flemming. Rune B. doesn’t approve! 😉 2018-edition. Roasted coffee and little vanilla in nose. Vanilla, obviously coffee, tobacco, saddle. Brewed at Lervig. CanSharing. BB: 2028.

BottleSharing by YT | Smooth texture coffee low ABV Stout. Fairly bodied for a 6.0% and solid roasted coffee base. Not bad at all if you’re into coffee without double digit ABV. Tre.Sextio

‘Fyraftens’🍺 | Aromatic. Small citrusy note of yuzu, but would have liked it to be more present. Trois.Soixante

2/3 parts of this tasting is fine. Raspberry aroma is tart and dry , but fairly genuine ✔️ The pouring is overly foaming and not charming ➗ Full fruity tart raspberry flavored, but with an odd swirl of some unpleasant bitter stuff (tomato soup?!?). Trois.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020)
Chocolate • chocolate brownie • maple • smooth • coffee • COFFEE • body • but real bourbon?
[work research] Burnt caramel malt nose. Distant coffee. Easy body and appropriate for a 6.0. Roasted flavor with notes of coffee and bitterness from the hops. Coffee tartness. Some sweet- and softness from the oat flakes. Tre.Cinquanta. Happy Friday! 😊

Tropical. Bits of marmalade notes. But somewhat thin in palate.

Celebrating the b•day of Anna•karin in small amounts due to restrictions 🎉🥳🍻 My 2nd go at this beer. Been saving it for 3-4 years. A much more mellow and silent nose and flavor. After tempering a very fine elegant Blonde. Mellow yuzu notes. Grapefruit.

Probably a good recipe, but brewed at TO ØL City. A little bit too sweet to be really good. But nothing unusual in the bigger picture. Celebrating the birthday of my niece.

Brewed at Svinninge/TOØLCity. 9.0% full fruity/tropical DIPA. Mango, orange, pineapple and such from the usual basket. Quite easy drinker, yet adequate body. Lovely soft palate. My 1st ‘quite new’ Mikkeller in a while and it feels good.

Brewed at TO ØL City in Svinninge. Tangerine and lemongrass. Trois.

Saved for three years (BB: 29/03/21) due to the maple dominance and partly by advice from the ever so friendly Jens R. But there were no savior here, Jens! Maple syrup is ruining the base beer with its small coffee notes. No success the 1st beer of 2021!

Mikkeller Santas Little Helper (2020)
Coincidentally meeting Lene & Klavs von P before CPH is closing down from Wednesday 👍🏽 Pleasant spiced Belgian Strong Dark Ale (or does Dark comes before Strong?). Let’s be honest: this season is adequate for drinking Belgian types. Chocolate, molasses.

BottleSharing by YT. Smoke, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. A lot of flavor in these 5.5 %. Surprisingly well executed. New television by the way 😍

Big malty driven TIPA! A bit too sweet right now, but as my last dip in it, it might win me over after DevilsPoint®️ It kinda worked. Powerful donkey hop•kick comes sneaking upon you.

CanSharing by lars b. - thanks! A bit thin, but quite full flavored taste with chocolate, caramel and light roasted considering the 5.1. Milky and soft.

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse Frederiksdal Cherry
•2019• Silent cherry nose. Taste is somehow quiet and not that sour for a Berliner Weisse. 1st time BW-beerbuddies can start here. But definitely cherry flavored. Pleasant little one. Trois.Soixante-dix

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal (2018)
Backlog | 28/09/20 | Old matured cherries in my nose. Very pleasant cherry taste when the first tart heart stroke has gone. Rich, tart, slightly sweet which really suits the beer. Nicely carbonated and all in all a treat among Sours.

2nd check•in and 1st on can. Proper Berliner Weisse with clear notes of blackberries and elegant small notes of pink peppercorn. Aromatic, fruity and tart. CanSharing with Anna•k.

Earlier | BottleSharing with Bear Brahms. Significant espresso presence and bourbon subtle underneath. Not better than the original, but a pleasant alternative. Bourbon could be stronger IMHO. But the perfect roasted base. Let it breathe, let it breathe!

Backlog | 18/09/20 | BottleSharing with Johanna, Laura (?), Søren and Simon C. Don't remember the buyer, but this is something extra if you’re into Sours AND raspberries. (➕0.20). picture from an earlier beer. 2nd try of this vintage.

Spontanquadrupelraspberry (2018)
Powerful nose of raspberry sirup. Oh, this is a tart giant! Strong and effective raspberry flavor, both tart and bitter. Puckering as h🔥ll‼️So concentrated it’s moving on the edge of a mountain top. Beautiful and extreme in its own way. Tre.Åttio

Collab’ Lervig, Norway. Caramel/toffee and coffee nose. More distant vanilla. Deep down roasted flavor: signature of the Beer Geek. Dessert beer definitely, but not overwhelming pastry Stout. Complexity in a simple manner. (➕0.5). Quatre.

Cù't Cà Phê Bia (Port Barrel Aged)
Done as an Impy Stout, but much more Porter-ish right now. Old dude - dates back to at least 2013. The Port BA-notes has probably diminished over the years. Tobacco, booze notes opening. Zero carbonation. Smooth as silk. Dark, roasted, molasses. Nice try!

I’ve been drinking several liters of its macro cousin Tjubangborg Classic, so expectations were high. This is basically the reason of craft beer: it’s better and more refined than the “original”. Good. Better caramel profile. More significant aroma.

Work research. Nose of strawberry/apricot. Flavor is more towards floral with a tiny sweetness, small tartness and bigger bitterness. Slightly sour, but truly to handle. Medium dry from the oak BA. Rose hip is such a common ‘free’ fruit in Scandinavia.

Earlier | CanSharing with Grant (my favorite photographer)! Initially a quiet DIPA, but around Devils Point©️it blossoms. Rich and although not the perfect Triple IPA it puts its boat gently at the harbor. Fresh from canning 18/10/20.

Pssst... lovely Sour. Grapefruit and lime. Fresh and puckering.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Bourbon
Backlog | 19/08/20 | 2nd try. Still no real scent of any bourbon in nose. Still pleasant though with mix of vanilla, caramel and the underlying roasted malt. More evident bourbon in taste. Has class even if the bourbon could be stronger.

Well, a small selection of IPAs out here: only Sessions and no DIPAs. And not an updated taplist at Untappd 🤯 This Idaho 7 is a bit of all worlds: tropical sweet, grassy and pine bitter. But generally boring and no wow effect.

Backlog | 08/08/20 | Super nose of black currants or to correct: of the French Créme de Cassis (that my parents used to enjoy)😉 Acidic, tart and fruity flavor of black currants galore and oaky notes as well. Dry finish. 7.7 % fruity, intense puckering 👊

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Rye Whiskey
Backlog | 08/08/20 | Nose of caramelly fudge and the barrel. Don’t rem’ if I ever had the base, but the Rye Whiskey add something and maybe just that important little difference. On the edge of being too sweet. Sticky, rich, roasted. Good Pastry Dog 🐕

4th check-in. Edition 2018. Rich, malty, bourbon-ish. Moldy, but in good shape. The caramelly/bourbon combo gives so much ‘old beer’-pleasure. 1st attempt on tap 🙏🏼😍 (➕1.0❗️)

Oregon Fruit Series Spontan Plum
Earlier this evening. Saved from the MKLR beer•club in March 2019 | BottleSharing with Anna•k. Pleasant plum aroma. Pleasant balance between a tart and acidic flavor and the fruity sweetness. Like a Fruit Lambic, but not from the area. I really like this.

Beer Geek Breakfast Barrel Aged Bourbon (7.5%)
Roasted coffee nose with a slightly tart note. Roasted coffee beans base opening and yet no sign of any bourbon barrel aging! Overly carbonated confuses me. Somewhat thin, but that’s expected in a 7.5. Big disappointment! Plain Beer Geek Breakfast.
