Olde School (2017)

Cola and caramel, dry and thinner mouthfeel. No sign of cardboard or oxidation.

MI Pilsner (MI P1LSNER)

Malty sweet with light floral and spicy hop finish. Not quite as crisp as I’d like but this is a solid and tasty mass craft pils. Also, I HATE the color scheme. Will live in the garage fridge all summer.

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023)

Not much for peppers until it warms up, then only slightly smoky. Chocolate is there but it’s nothing extra. Extremely meh and very disappointing.

KBS Blueberry

Tart blueberry juice overpowers the rest. So thin too.

All Day Crimson Sky

Barrel Aged Golden Stout

I like the bourbon and vanilla from the barrel, coffee and chocolate are second. I don’t hate it but not sure what the base does.

Chocolate Cherry KBS

Letting warm up is the key. Big coffee first, chocolate and cherry candy next. Tasty but thinner body.

All Day West Coast

Not saying it’s better than OG but I like the difference. Tropical start, grassy dank, pine needle finishing hops. It would be an nice change of pace.

BA Marvelroast

Killer nose. Taste ain’t bad either. Coffee, marshmallow and vanilla. Don’t get much for barrel effects.

Barrel-Aged Peanut Butter Stout

*I let this warm*. Don’t expect pb, it’s definitely more of a Nutter Butter cookie type. There’s more of a roasty and salted peanut taste with artificial vanilla, cola and sweet bourbon making a finishing appearance. Still, tasty and I’ll buy a sixer.

Ultimate Oktoberfest

The barrel adds a whole lot of vanilla to a beer that needs no vanilla. Tastes okay but feels disjointed and nothing like I want in a märzen.

The Reunion

Tastes like the way soap smells. Meh

Guilded In GR Pilsner

One of the better pilsners I’ve had in a while. Soft French bread, crispy floral finish.

KBS Hazelnut

I’m a fan of hazelnut and this satisfies that itch. Vanilla, chocolate and marshmallow too. Barrel notes round it out. Great flavors, thin body.

Nitro KBS

Love the nitro pour. It’s my first “fresh” KBS since it became year round.

Brandy Barrel-Aged Big Luscious

Raspberries, blackberries, cherries and chocolate. Really good, really sweet.

Vino De Naranja

Caramel, heat, orange, raisins. Decent amount of bourbon

B.A. Nemesis

Hot and boozy AF. Past that, caramel, a little smoke, dry.

B.A. Black Biscuit

Chocolaty, nice smooth maple and barrel. A bit of astringency in the finish. No signs of the abvs. Seems kinda thin 😬 but good flavor.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa

Sorta split with Rori S. Nice aroma, cinnamon heavy. Maaaan, what was once an innovator has now fallen. Cinnamon is still heavy and I don’t hate it, the rest is choppy and boozy. And thin. Bummer

Still a 5 capper, amirite Bo I. ?

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Big orange and cherry initially, hot bourbon and caramel next. It does taste like a cocktail and that’s where I’m conflicted. Nice gimmicky drink, don’t make it again.

Red's Rye IPA

Still a favorite.

All Day Haze

Light (duh), grapefruit, pine.

Rye Or Die Roggenbier

There’s no mistaking this…big rye profile with and even bigger caraway finish. Feels a bit undercarbed.

Warewolves of Michigan

West coast-ish? Great clarity and color. Pine forest and guava. Dank and delicious

Maple Barrel Aged Frangelic Mountain Brown

R. If you’re a hazelnut fan, and I am, you’ll love this. It’s maple syrup poured into a hazelnut coffee.

B.A. DISSENTER IPL

RM. Bourbon soda. The “hopped after the wood” aspect definitely helps. Herbal and citrus on top of bourbon here. Seems a bit gimmicky

Rye Barrel Aged Black IPA

LM. Barrel, definite rye spice although mellowed from the barrel. Earthy, pine and subtle vanilla. Good but not a favorite.

Floor Bender

Killer nose of vanilla and chocolate malts. Medium roast, earthiness, tobacco, whiskey, wood and vanilla. Mouthfeel is holding this back for me. Mouthfeel is important right J S. ? Missing you for cellar raid.

Nemesis (2021)

Left. Big and bitter. Heavy pine resin, tar, hints of citrus. Very good.

Black Is Beautiful
