120 Minute IPA (2019) Hawkes

Amber. Effervescent when first opened. Sweet nose with ester notes and a hint of sherry. Big sweet syrupy body somewhat balanced by a big bitter finish. Bottled Aug 2019. The bottle says “Enjoy now or age for a decade or so”. This beer didn’t last!

Light amber. Estery, bready nose. Sherry note on palate. Some sweetness. Juicy bony. Quite smooth with a bitter finish. Bottled Jul 2020 so past its best.

Amber, hazy. Fine head. Big hot nose, dusty, estery, touch of dark chocolate. Palate of sherryish intensity. Huge body, sticky. Reminiscent of a super strong English Barley Wine. Big sweetness followed by big bitterness. ABV 16.5%. Bottled 08/08/19.

Gold. Some haze. Fine head. Herbaceous hop nose with a bit of sweetness. Juicy malt, prickly bitterness. A touch of stonefruit. Finishes with dry bitterness. Bottled 13/02/20.
