Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - Vat 86 Mono Blend

Lots of funk, quite some wood and a hint of pils malts. Flavour is also nice wood and funk loaden with some dryness, wheat, malts and tannines. lovely stuff, subtle complexity. Unfortunately my Boon glass broke the other week...

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) (+25% 4 Year Lambic)

Very soft & smooth, no carbo, beautiful complex Geuze with a wild & funky cellar tint. Seems to be a tad more complex & smoother than the regular Geuze. Very nice!

Fou' Foune (2020)

Already more fruityness that remains and the tartness/sourness seems to become slowly less present over time. The complex wood, brett and sour tints were not as present as before. But you can hardly go wrong with Fou!

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac)

Way better than the 2018, more carbo, way more barrel coming through, Cantillon funk, even some fruity and tart tints, some rubber, cheese and brett. Super balanced and most likely the best 50N so far...

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2018) (Brandy)

Nose has loads and loads of minerals with a hint of Cantillon funk. Flavour is almost carbo-less driven with some minerals, apples, funk, some Brandy... decent but expected more!

Raspberry Trippelbock BA Bourbon

Nose still has the bourbon, but very soft. With a hint of soy and raisin. Bit liquor a like. Flavour is too tart for the style and hardly anything else beside tart fruit... meh...

Raspberry Quadrupel Barrel Aged Brandy

Figs, brandy, raspberry, malts, warming, toast, vinous, light tart, some raisin, lovely complex.

Organic Cuckoo Wit

Too much uncontrolled yeast with a painty touch to it. Quite dominating... You get the wheat as it tends to lean on a Saison with the yeast profile. It softens with time air. Ok...

Fou' Foune (2020)

Fantastic, even better than last years! Where the 2019 was on the fruity side this years edition has a better balance and even a tad more sourness. Loads of apricot in the nose. The flavour is a treat! Lovely!

Trippelbock Frederiksdal Cherries

Those cherries are beautiful, think the base beer was good to but the combo is a bit of a difficult marriage. There’s cherries and some sweet tart cherry tones, there’s bitters, dryness, malts/grains, it’s a bit weird but not bad!
