Raison D'Extra (2014) Lowe

Cellar find by Nocturnem. Perfect to celebrate a Northern Hawk-Owl twitch! Cognac-level booziness and drunk off their ass raisins. But still smooth and a challenge at 5:30pm….thank goodness for that pretzel.

Kbs (2023) Lowe

Yup. Still very, very, very good.

Nemesis Lowe

Our nemesis continues to be offense. Helluva way to end a season. Need Barleywine. Tasty, but somewhat thin Barleywine and too bitter of a finish.. Like our season.

Birramisu Lowe

Impromptu boat trip to another island to not see a Tufted Puffin bring this long weekend escape to a close. Beer is not particularly sweet for a pastry stout, andfinishes too burnt coffee bitter. Less harsh when warm

KBS Hazelnut Lowe

Tastes artificial; like the syrup squirted into a mediocre latte. Great KBS base is overwhelmed.

Velvet Rush Lowe

I like imperial browns. Good fall afternoon beer with the flavors, but not the heaviness, of an imperial stout. Would actually take a little more of the adjunct flavors here though.

Panther Cub Lowe

Lots of my favorite imperial stout flavors with a less heavy and viscous porter body. That makes me happy. Could live with a little more maple...as usual. 4.42

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) Lowe

Day off afternoon beverage and Law&Order rerun. Can’t be beat. And KBS is still great.

KBS Espresso Lowe

That’s intense coffee. It dominates the rest of the KBS deliciousness. Still pretty darn good though, but not quite the same enjoyment level as the original (or some of the other variants). Should have had this in the morning.

Marvelroast Lowe

What the hell is this, other than damn tasty? I like beers that taste unlike they look. White stout but a good version, unlike some of the gimmicky ones I’ve had. Like the coffee flavor without the heavy body; very much a latte vibe. Uniqueness .25 bonus.
