I've had this beer many times, and I'm surprised I've never rated before on this app. It's one of my favorites, and I agree with you, John. Not as spruce forward as previous versions. It's still a great brew, though!

Still maintains its KBS identity. The added cherry flavor is perfectly blended. As it warms, the chocolate really shows up. Nice variation of the KBS. Bottled 12/05/22.

Served at my basement temp, 51 F. It has aged very well. The espresso flavor has mellowed but still prominent. Does not taste like a 12%. Very smooth without much of the heat you'd expect.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Ewy
Tastes thinner and drier than I would expect but very good.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Ewy
It is World Wide Stout aged in Utopia barrels. You know it will be good and it is. It's dark and chewy with dark dried fruits and chocolate and toffee. Everything changes to me as it warms. Alcohol is up front but the beer is crazy smooth for 17.2%.

Bottled 05/09/19. One could age this for a few years easily. Boozy.
