Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2024) R
Somehow, it feels flat as the Bruocsella, but sweeter, not as wild and more relaxed. Woody, mid/low tartness, red apples. Nothing too interesting.

I love and will always love Cantillon, some of their beers are still superb (Omg, Le Plaisir) but I've got the feeling that some of their base line is getting worse, not bad, but less nuanced and elegant. This is the case.

Did I just pay to drink the water they washed the dishes with at a sushi restaurant?

Boozy but tasty, rich, there's barrel, there's a beautiful acidity, there's spirit. Probably is way better bottled, but still pleasant to drink.

Pretty underwhelmed by this one. Back in the day it wasn't one of the top ones, but this one is just... Kinda boring. White grapes, low acidity, fruity, plain.

It's not everyday that someone offers you a great Cantillon! In the winey side of this sour mofos, a bit earthy in the mouth, super aromatic, a hint of balsamic vinegar. Thanks, WENHAO S. !

The other Magic I've had was way better to me, but the 2024 it's still way too fresh probably. Nose is great, as if you squeeze raspberries on your hands. Mouth is way calmer, but also worse, not funky, not fresh on the fruits, way too gentle.

Beautiful beer, actually. Probably the best balance I've had in a real while between acetic and malts. You get that freshly squeezed wine grape skin side, but there's a cereal making everything become just beautiful. What a beer. C'est un vrai plaisir.

Back in the days, this was my fav Cantillon. Now, this is still amazing. Unlike the last one I tried, here you can really find the viognier. It's not a Chateaux Grillet, but the wine's there. Terrific, tart-apricot-cereal funky combo.

It's been a real long time since the last time I drank Cantillon, mostly because It as tired of how bland their taps tend to be. But this one is pretty good, tart, funk, farm-ish. Lovely.

Weird, not bad, but weird. Tastes a bit like veggies to me, betteraves maybe. Fruity too, red grapes, berries. Slightly funky. Nothing amazing.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) 2022 R
Actually, not as bad as the latests Cantillon I've had on tap. Funky but not acetic, bit of honey, some herbs. Some bitterness I do really enjoy there. It's pretty good. Cantillon kegs not tasting as a poorer version of the bottles, that's new.

Cantillon slightly different from the way they use to make things. But pretty good. Somehow funky salty sourness, kinda sparkly from the rhubarb. Pretty tasty but easy. Pleasant. Not acetic at all. Liked it.

What in the Jesuschrist is this. What the fuck happened with Cantillon. Why are there kegs getting worse and worse over time. Pretty bland, lacking aroma. In mouth, not what it is to be, but a watered down version. Can't believe it.

Cantillon. On tap. And still, amazing. Super tasty and rich. Nose is wine, vanilla and a slightly hint of tobacco. Mouth is pure wine, deep, bit sour, super pleasant. I loved it.

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) R
Super elegant. Extremely elegant. Soft, fruity and pleasant, loads of Apple and white grapes. Balanced and beautiful, the kind of beer you can drink every single day and not get tired of it, and it looks it would pair beautifully with lotta meals.

And now, this is a real treat. Maybe a bit dessert-ish for a Cantillon, but I cannot imagine a more beautiful way to finish today's beer tasting. Lotta vanilla and framboise, sweet but not too much, way more dense than they use to be. Really liked it.

It's GREAT to drink from time to time a good Cantillon, and this is exactly as the good ones taste. Really winey, ripe cherries, wood. Tart but also somehow sweet, a hint of vanilla. Tannic. This must age well as fuck.

Pas mal du tout. It smells pretty wild, and the first feeling in mouth is it really is: flowers, spices, medium tartness and and acetic profiled. But then it evolves to something else, sweet and not that light-bodied for the style, honey and cereals.

Fairly tart brew. Dry and elegant, somehow spiced and hippy. Maybe not a beer that'll blow your mind away, but the perfect one of you want just to chill while you sip into something well done.

Gotta admit I remember the '18 way better than this one but it's still a terrific beer, just not as nuanced, the cereal is way less present and the tartness is a bit not that elegant. Still, beautiful.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Acetic is present yet so balanced on the beer. Grapes, caramel, strawberries, red apples, dry but also sweet. The background is full of cherry and wood. Nuances everywhere on a beer that's also extremely simple. Love it.

Pretty surprising: tastes a bit like a lollipop but not as artificial as other non-belgian krieks. Super concentrated, well carbonated, persistent and a bit vinaceous. Mikkeller is not what it was anymore, but they did not forget how to make good beers.

Years looking forward to drink it. Now it's mine. All mine. But... Gotta be honest about it, I thought it would be 5x times better. Super elegant, but too fruity, I don't see that woody aftertaste I look for in this kind of giants. Kinds yogurt-ish.

What a beautiful beer, bold, full, rich, a bit earthy. Creamy and dense, really thick, full of stone fruits, the hops keep on coming back way after you sip on it. The kind of NEIPA I personally love.

Cantillon at its best. Freshly squeezed raspberries, almost like doing it with your bare hands. Super aromatic, in mouth surprises not being as tart as expected. Really fruity, funky, beautiful, delicious.

One of those beers that make you realize sometimes how stupid we are for paying ridiculous amounts of money for beers that are not that good for the price when you can get better things way cheaper. Aggressive beast: caramel, leather, wood, chocolate...
