KBS Blueberry

Nose is vanilla, blueberry, backed with bourbon and oak. First impression on the flavor is coffee roast and then a massive hit of bourbon barrel character. Notes of chocolate and vanilla follow with a slightly tart blueberry finish. Excellent KBS variant!

World Wide Stout (2023)

Boozy fudge deliciousness. This is a damn good stout with no gimmicks aside from the ABV. Roasty malts and dark dark chocolate bitterness that make the mouth tingle, subtle touch of dark fruit. Very good!

Fruit-Full Fort (2018)

Reeks of booziness, barrel and dark fruit. Tastes like cherry/fig/raisin with a tart bitterness from the berries along with earthy tea notes and a subtle hint of chocolate. Bordering on wine territory but the Munich malt gives it a dark bread/caramel vibe

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023)

Welcome back old friend! That espresso, maple syrup, bourbon barrel boozy warmth. I dunno what they were thinking when they discontinued this after 2019. Bottled 10-17-2023

World Wide Stout (2016)

Starting to fall off but still a solid stout. Copped from the bargain bin. Well worth the 6 bucks. Boozy caramel flavor dominates but oxidation and flat body are setting in

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

So much more chocolate flavor than the 2021. Pleasantly chewy mouthfeel. Good bourbon notes with some oak and vanilla. Great stout

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)

Store had this 10/2021 batch and 03/2019 batch, I grabbed 2 of each for comparison. This batch seems less viscous and has a big cola flavor. Barrel flavor is there but not getting the usual chocolate and coffee vibes

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)

Cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa are all there. Mouthfeel is a wee-bit thinner than the others, that’s my main gripe. Really digging the vanilla aspect of this, it works well with the KBS base. Very solid and tasty, just not on par with the rest of the series

KBS Espresso (2021)

I love founders KBS and it’s variants. I’ll leave it at that.

KBS Hazelnut (2022)

The aroma is reminiscent of sticking your face inside a box of ‘nilla wafers backed with cocoa and coffee. Founders remains the king of year-round available barrel aged stouts with this one. Good bitterness to boot.

60 Minute IPA

Haven’t had this in YEARS. Really holds up and tastes as good as ever. Nicely balanced with a bready malt profile and grapefruit bitterness.

Solid Gold

Straight forward lager. Crisp and dry finish, crackery. Spicy hop bitterness. Decent!

KBS Espresso (2019)

I find that this variant has the most bourbon notes of the KBS varieties I’ve drank lately.
