Father-in-law gifted bottled. I’ve come a long way since my days of sharing stouts only with him back in 2016…! Excellent, hop forward and bitter IPA. I make this the 60, 90 and 120 Minute IPAs sampled.

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Kelly
Something changed between now and Nov 2022 when I originally had this 2018-19 season bottle and not in a superb way.

2020. I like it. Not overbearingly sweet nor tart. Though I feel the cherry / kriek version has more character.

Drop this in a core range for €2.50, no problem. Not remarkable but not offensive.

This is a curious one. That chilli kick at the end is surprising each sip, even though I knew it was going to be there.

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Kelly
Remarkable. I would love more geuze and lambic to make it over to us. Otherwise I might just have to make a trip to Belgium some time soon…

I don’t know where to go with this one. Didn’t realise the ABV when I picked it up - 18%! Blows the head off you, a lot of alcohol burn. Surely technically excellent but I don’t think I love it. Mixed feelings so I’ll leave it unrated.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Kelly
This got way better as it warmed - pull it out of the fridge a good hour before you crack in and 👌

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Kelly
Felt this could have done when more body. And wish it came out for Christmas - the cinnamon was a fun addition.

Murky like a dang swamp! Mystery hop varieties, none listed on the label. Pretty similar to the Hop Opera from a couple of weeks ago.

A coffee stout gone ass ways. Nice to have all the coffee and adjuncts without the heaviness of a stout. However this was bottled nearly a year ago.

A wonderful stout. Reminds me of the stouts my now father in law would feed me on my first trip to the USA when I used to only drink stouts. No barrel aged, pastry silliness.

I keep trying to go back to & appreciate sours. This is ok, but one sour is fine for me every now and then.

Glad I discovered lambics. Special beers. This one is tart, with background fruitiness.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2015) Kelly
Wow! First lambic. Tart, sour. Pleasant. Not overpowering. Complex.
