About to depart to London, but just have enough time for a quick taste of this year’s Zwanze. Really smells like oysters, the flavour more towards lemon, and bit of apple juice in terms of mouthfeel. Fun!

Ok, the BBD is 2043… 😅 Must say, no need to keep it in the bottle that long. Good, funky nose, nice dry, chalky finish. Nice one!

Snublejuice Weib

They have nice beer here! Nice session this. A tad drying but with a nice tropical core and firm bitter finish.

Nice and tart, with a hint of bitterness. Warm in the core. Lovely.

They are getting younger, aren’t they? 🤔 Or am I just really old? This brew will make me feel better. Deliciously vineous, mellow funk, refreshing. Now all we need to hope is that this storm misses us… 🤞

Single Barrel 2 Year Lambic Weib

Nice and funky this. Some elderflower on the nose, along with some good farmyard. Refreshing pucker in the finish.

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) Weib

Another beautiful brew by Cantillon. The white wine tones come through in the nose and the core, giving some real floral depth to this. Tart and warming at the same time. Awesome.

Well, if you have to run into a colleague, I picked a good one…. You can count on Gijs to provide just the ticket after a long day at work. Love that funky nose and mellow pucker. Still delicious!

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio Weib

And another one! TY Martin! That lovely funky nose so typical of a nice Cantillon. Something round and meaty in the core here. Balanced pucker finish with some nice woody tones. I like!

Whirl Domination Weib

This will do nicely with one of my all-time favourite films. Nice tropical hops, mellow bitter, not too sweet.

Free Fall Flow Weib

Nose of ripe tropical fruit with a savory edge. Quite sweet in the core. Think this has lost some of its edge. My fault for leaving it too long (BB 02/21). No rating therefore…

Tyrnilambic Baie d'Argousier Weib

Now this definitely smells and tastes of sea buckthorn! Lovely, not too acidic, and that warmth in the middle.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2015) Weib

I did well to get this at the Wildeman Christmas auction! Has held up really well. Well-balanced, not too sour and still fruity. Yum.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) Weib

Here for a quick beer, and then suddenly there are fun people here! And a lovely brew. That dry hopping really gives it a nice floral note (elderflower!). Some powder in the nose, that classic wood as well. And that good pucker. Yum.

Mamouche Weib

I love it when (former) students are open to a new flavour experience, and this one has certainly hit the spot. Absolutely delicious this. The floral notes, the powdery nose, that lovely balanced pucker. Awesome.

Drogone Lambic (2021) Weib

“Prepping” my tasting @Wilder next week. Ok, and having a nice meal as well. This is fresh and delicious! Really fruity, with the mellow tartness of the lambic in the background. Yum!

Free Fall Flow Weib

This has been a really nice package, another nice one here! Nice and tropical (guava!), creamy, not too sweet and a nicely balanced bitter finish. Quite quaffable! #DAT

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio Weib

After some failed tries (not checking those in...) this one is lovely. Soft, woody, some chalky mineralness, mellie pucker. Yum.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2018) (Brandy) Weib

A belated Thanksgiving dinner! This goes so well with the mushroom broth and bread with smoked salt. The brandy gives it a nice depth. Good start!

Fou' Foune (2019) Weib

This remains a beautiful brew. The stone fruit filling out the lambic with fulness and warmth. Goes rather well with dinner. Yum.

Vigneronne (2019) Weib

Really soft mouthfeel, subtle pucker. As it warms the stable comes through on the nose. Lovely. TY Bianca H.!
