Almost gastric kind of tartness but the berries are very wide in range flavour from a ripe blue to a smooth cherry. Elegant finish and long aftertaste

Another level at all. Aroma with a balsamic driven soul of mint, sage, marjoram. Follow in mouth so much with citric beautiful freshness & balsamic force. Almost perfect

It's a bit weak. Really really a raw ending. Grape effort very low

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) 54
A lot of words you fellows have already written about this one. I agree with many of those, funky elegance, fruitiness, winey, extremely good

I prefer the old label. Anyway it was bottled one year ago & for some reason it ended on my table. What remains is closer to an apa, caramel & boozy malt with a shadow of hop

4plus - Aroma of a public toilet miles away, tangerine peel dehydrates, canned cucumber water. Mild tartness, great balance in mouth, blood orange skin short finish

2020 they told me. Great combed horse blanket with elegance. Mouthfeel very smooth, citrusy, light hint of urine, red dehydrate fruit, moderate tartness, strange crushed long distance cherry...4doubleplus

September late check in - I don't know what a mackinac is but you had me at maple. Beautiful dessert beer where all the parts are gorgeously mixed together, I am not surprised it belongs to Founders

Oude Geuze White Vermouth Foeders 54
Mike S. summarize this brew very well. I'd like to add a good horse blanket aroma & a surprising green apple taste. Vermouth barrel perhaps did an unholy magic on this gueze making it extremely pleasant as well as an aperitif still getting its proper soul

Beer Geek Breakfast Brunch Big Blend 54
2015 vintage - best in the threesome - aroma absent but more velvet mouthfeel with the barrell work still here with hint of roast & vanilla

2015 vintage - cocoa strikes at first at nose than everything twisted away, strange & not so intriguing

Beer Geek Brunch Weasel Barrel Aged Islay 54
2015 - aroma of medication & quinine. Mouthfeel heavy & unpleasant difficult to drink a small bottle in six. Islay destroyed all in its sight

I stick with Kalle review but with a distinctive difference in the end. I found a perfectly balanced ending with a medium aftertaste aligned with all the rest of flavour set of this brew

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2021) 54
This vintage has a super clear profile, less complex more fruity but one direction only, less textured if you get what I mean. Tartness definitely downgraded to beginners level

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2016) 54
Late check in - sharing beers with colleagues in a Florentine sunny afternoon - I am very aligned with Dr. L. review, this bottle gets good memory out of me. I'd like to underline the barrel work making this brew velvet elegant & straight balanced

Elegant brew for an elegant dish on an elegant Sunday night out. Amazing pairing by the way

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) 54
Never tried this one & I found it amazing. The different hop used, perhaps fresher, gave this beauty a lemonade tangerine lullaby all around your palate. Tartness as usual, a bit gentle.A small one is not enough.Citrusy fresh aroma for a lambic off course

Vanilla extract from the glass will be the fascist tyrant of the entire room, no kidding. The rest is not far away from others barrel aged brew from Founders where vanilla & maple are in a beautiful marriage. Dessert beer as it stands a dessert by itself

I agree with PapaV review, except the ending of my bottle was not so unpleasant. I could add I found it not so much in style & I noticed many had it canned. Perhaps you & I have been sold an old batch with a problem of conditioning made it a fizzy bastard

After a couple of year rhubarb mellowed beautifully empowered a small red fruit feelings otherwise unobserved

Great defined aroma of seducing raspberries. In mouth reveals an incredible balance between fruit & chocolate. Abv nowhere to be found. Smooth, sweet, it is exactly what Founders promised you with the label, decadent self-indulgent brew

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018) 54
Schaarbeekse 2018 comparison - lighter colour, more sediment on the bottle, much more head, lighter aroma. More sweet & smoother. For the rest I come along with HvK, Federico Bruno P. & Stefano C. (expected Fragolino reference)

It was all about this, drinking craft draft in a fucking pub - part 3

It is espresso as a caffè viennese could be. It remembers me more a coffee flavour in a tiramisù than in a cup. Bourbon barrel was very well used, smooth pleasant decadent dessert brew. It means this brew alone could be a dessert treat

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) 54
LCI - Late dinner, a gueuze was one of the best pairing for insalata di trippa. I had this vintage around 2 weeks after first time. It was more edgy, less elegant, like its wild side was raging on. Still a fine brew but not the same

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) 54
LCI - The best from Cantillon lately. It was like a gentle breeze brought to me an happy farm bouquet, palate follows with a perfect balance and a moderate sourness. Just a bit short, but in its simplicity was nearly perfect
