There's a point where the subtleties of a black ipa get lost in the strength. 12% is beyond that. That said, this is a lovely, liquoricey delight. Damn brexit (or maybe it's a good thing?) for preventing me from accessing these folks' stuff easily.

Dark and bittersweet liquorice flavours. Not too heavy either which is what you want with a strong dark beer on a hot day.

Sweet, oily and slight boozy from the barrel ageing. Really like this, but a half is enough.

Surprisingly thick. Very dark roasted, with some black licquorice. Quite a hefty bitter finish too

Feisty! Plentiful chilli and whisky hits you in the face with evey sip... in a good way š

Smoky with plenty of spicy heat. Iām not generally a big fan of anything this hot, but this is very well done.

Huge lemon nose - reminiscent of lemon fairy washing-up liquid š Thick, sweet, limoncello notes, with way too much alcohol.

Sharp, tart, clean. The 2022 is better from the bottle. Still great

The rhubarb is gentle. It's nice. Think I preferred the crumble in pangolin the other day.

Bloody good beer, stone fruit on the sip. Good bitterness bite. Fantastic

At 16.3% It certainly packs a punch! Nice but definitely a sipper.

Ooh nelly. A feisty lad. Dry, bitter strong stout contending with hefty BA flavours. Nice, but perhaps a bit much?

Teaching in 30 minutes.. what could possibly go wrong š š Nice dry stout, with the barrel character maybe a little overwhelming

Delicious wild ale, fruity tartness and a very gentle wild funkiness
