I said on the way to the fest to Jen S. I wasn’t sure if I would like a beetroot beer, and she said it might be nicely sweet and a good lambic complement. Nope! Bitter and off putting, just like beets.

Now this one is a fantastic beer for the day. Bright, hopeful, zesty, full of orange flavor. My favorite of the four Zwanzes I’ve had.

One of my old Cantillon faves, still drinking well.

The classic white wine lambic. Very tasty, but Veil’s white wine saisons are every bit as good.

Cantillon’s nod to modern beer styles, I have a soft spot for this one. Really delicious.

As good as a beet based lambic can be. Unfortunately still made from beets
