Ganske fornuftig. Generelt synes jeg dog engelsk barleywine matches bedre med sherry eller portvinsfade, da de ikke har samme humlebitterhed til at stå imod bourbonfadet med.

Oh boy was this a treat for my mouth and belly! If you follow my journey on here you know i love me some bourbon barrels. And this really delivered! Really not too boozy even with a 14,5%.

Huge malty nose. Notes of black bread, toasted malt, chocolate caramel, oak, light smoke and hints of vanilla. Bitter and sweet flavor with some warming boozy finish. Lovely!

Rigtig fin barley wine. Masser af tørret frugt, tobak, malt og mørk sukker. En anelse sprittet, men grundlæggende flot håndværk. Op mod 4.5. Tak Lau S.!
