This had potential but I struggled. Burnt rubber is not a tasting note I can appreciate readily. Still, appreciated the #openthatbottlenight cellar digging.

Koffie, veel roast. Heel droog. BA Bourbon, maar het doet veel meer aan als Schotse whisky.

Boozy. Oh ja, boozy. Met een straf wrange toon. Koffie bepaalt het middensegment. Bourbon is amper te proeven. Droog is hij ook. Bijzonder moeilijk te plaatsen.

Intensely dense, dark, woody and fairly umami. A lot is going on here. It’s definitely an old beer, but also many-layered.

Nose of umami and burnt malts as it opens. Smells like an aged beer that handled the age very well. Bourbon is subsumed within a general warm booziness, hints of anise in the finish. Very tasty. Slightest herbal Jäger quality.
