i'm confused to say so) wtf is this? oatmeal coffee stout that was injected with tons of hops and left for aging?) this one is 2016, coffeish, slightly bitter, roasty, bit sour finish, bit sweet oats, bit empty, pleasant in general but 0_o

EB 27/12/2012 (Bottle from Voldby Koebmandsgaard, DK) oily texture medium body. Aroma/taste is dark roasted malt, coffee, pine, hops (can really pick up the simcoe) nice balance of sweet/bitter. Very good.

Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty fresh hoppy chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malty hoppy bitter licorice and chocolate flavor with hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Didn’t really taste like an ipa, more like a classic stout. Slightly bitter but not hop bitterness. Coffee and chocolate

I usually don't enjoy coffee in beer but this is still hopforward and rich in all aspects. Brewed in Stavanger, aha, det är lite norsk Nøgne stil över hela paletten och baletten. Black IPA is one of the hardest to brew successfully, IMHO.

Backlog 1/27/14 Dark brown. A two finger wooden color head. Aroma is coffee and lesser amounts of oats. A very unique taste. The name really stays true to the beer. A combination of hops and coffee. with more of the hops dominating over the coffee taste.

Never had something quite like this. Coffee and roast up top, pretty hoppy and aromatic at the end.

Lots of coffee, and LOTS of yeast. Sweet for a black IPA, but not unpleasant.

This is brewed with coffee, so I expected to hate it. But the coffee flavor blends nicely and flies under the hoppy radar.

I get the coffee but not much hops. Maybe a more balanced bitterness? Definitely strong!
