Oops. This I drank on my SAS flight from Skellefteå earlier today. Was unsure if I'd had it before or not and actually turns out last time was a taster "flight", haha. Riktigt fin smak uppe i luften. Andra Mikkellern idag.

Drink'in The Sun (0.3%) Norell
Not bad for an N/A, twice the price (26kr/85nt) of other similar products but well made and served up satisfaction at simple lunch in Skellefteå.

Här fick vi iallafall smak. Liten men naggande gød. Blev lite gladare nu. Dessutom lyckades jag lirka till mig en Badge. Blev snuvad på första eftersom den bara existerar på Brahegatan vilken är nedlagd. Sneaky. Ok, I can play your game 😁

Might be same as the 7% PinÆble Express from Mikk SanDiego. That'd explain why a "World First" appeared in Taipei. Pretty and pithy! Good stuff. Next time I'll order a pint.

Really solid to be Lager. I'd even call it an IPL. And next time I'll order a large! Happy drinking with Thomas B. 🍻🤗

Not dry nor bitter. Plenty of oats or wheat causing foam overload. Doesn't have much to say, nor do l. Anyway, thanks to Star-san for bringing it from Copenhagen 🍻

US#№31 60min IPA at a 70y birthday dinner. 7th beer of today so palate was quite saturated, but I've never enjoyed this brew and this time didn't convince either. No photo.

Gueze 100% Lambic Bio (2023) Norell
Wow, puckering and wild. Organic indeed. But not so balanced yet. Vinglig som en nybörjarcyklist. Chablis är skeptisk.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2023) Norell
Taster treat by Learn boss 🙂 true taste of Europe! Bottled 5/2023 so still a bit young and undeveloped.

Fruity and fresh! Only tapped 40min, safely saying this is 1st glass in Taiwan! And brewed in Hong Kong 😮 wow, the World is getting closer to me! 🤗

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2023) Norell
Great complex Lambic! Generous treat from Learn Bar, brew just been brought back from Belgium

Character is not present, probably because needing lot of aging. 20+ years, but will I be around by then?

Wow! A Pilsner that is worth drinking solo without having to accompany food is hard to come by. Sooo tasty! Star-san was right, for once... 😮

USA#22 PourHouse#14 Mighty size, both of glæss and belly. This will build some more inches at my waist. Actually ordered it believing it to be a power IPA, my bad, but not a waste because taste is good. Let's call it an intermission beer. Good frabor.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°6 Norell
So smooth Boon! Wonderful match with sashimi.

Und ich bin ein Taipeier. Chose this berry as a starter for the pretty things awaiting. But it tastes quite cheap, more as a spiked home-made juice. Not enough of anything to leave an impression.

Ciao Satoki 🍻 You can also have a XL glass upgrade now! Textbook Pilsner.

Finally a sour Sour! Proper Spontan yeast does its puckering job. Ahhhh!!! Brisk!!! Cchhhhh!!! 😜

Blizzard (In A Beer Mug) Norell
Bitter blizzard. But I did not keep it well and it lost most of its bite. Still, a respectable beer. LCI.

Had this on can and have been looking forward to a big pint from keg. Not disappointed! Crisp and hoppy, like an IPL. Yum!
I usually don't enjoy coffee in beer but this is still hopforward and rich in all aspects. Brewed in Stavanger, aha, det är lite norsk Nøgne stil över hela paletten och baletten. Black IPA is one of the hardest to brew successfully, IMHO.

Decadent chocolate. Dessert beer. Thanks Yu-chen H. for the taster! This will take time to finish.

Refreshing and nice. To me it's overly sour for a Gose, but surely tasty. Beautiful glass combo with can. Only sold in Sweden??! 🤔 (backside text)

Sorry Satoki , I also had this at HERE. But from TAP 😁 and in NEW logo glÆss Jim H.

Oh! Certainly a sour Gose, I don't get any salt at all. Mr Mikkeller also tries to sneak a peak of this passionately puckering Pool.

After Saint-Saëns ballet and Starbucks in Miaoli I just had to wash the palate with a Dould Opera in Taipei. Sugarmasen, Star-san, too late! 😁 But this ale is way too sweet as well. Sigh. 3Seven5.

Very expensive ice coffee. And oxymoronically needs warmer temperature to taste properly acceptable. When cold it's simply embarrassing.

Pilsner in a small glass but with a lot to sa(ll)y. Pity I don't comprehend Czech (nor Danish...) 🍻
almost 4 years ago
Of course not all Stouts are stout. This tastes like the leftover bits that no one wants in a chocolate box. Mostly roasty, some dark chocolate and very very little sherry with such a high Ct that not even a PCR test could discover.

Doublebock Frederiksdal Cherries Norell
Revelation! Frederiksdal cherry is sooooo good. Tart only on the verge of sour. Beautiful display of the flutefruit.

Scour Scandinavia Berliner Weisse Norell
For a 3.7% this gives a beautiful bang for the ABV-buck$. Pricewi$e Mikkeller still makes ones wallet con$iderably thinner. But the taste, ahh! Puckering perfection! The acid does a gladiator race 'round the mouth making the buds bow and wow in admiration

Stick a finger in the soil. Norell
Obviously this is very common globally (Covid??), 34 friends already had it. However, it presented an unwelcome bubbly palatepunch that did somewhat settle down but then sadly left nothing in its wake. Aquaculture?

MBCC'20 Berliner-style Weisse With Fruits of the Sun Norell
Refreshing as aperitif. More tart than sour. Fine funk in the fragrance field, I could actually have a large pint of this if sitting outdoors in the sunshine! 🌞🍻

Star-san is that you in the spacesuit⁈ Out gazing in the zesty jazzy night. A bit lost it seems. Don't drift too close to any black beer hole!
Either you love it or hate it. I found it exciting and exquisitely tart. Funkadelic farm. One thing is for sure in this universe; Star-san should never go Spontan.

Yesterday drank a Kiwi juicebox, today a Danish mailbox. Better be located at the lion's unspoilt hopoiled l'hair. 🦁🍺

I Don't Have A Red Shrimp. Norell
Star-san didn't have any shrimp either. 😁 (Yet!) 🍻 This ain't no red herring, rather a rich tasting, delightfully dry, bitter Pilsner that wakes up the tastebuds like a classic old-school alarm clock.
Bottled 2016 but labelled 2017 by the importer. So why not check it in as generic. Chocolate creamy and coffee subdued by aging. But not much baaabon, nor body.

Merry Christmas from the Kingdom of Geuze. Lambic family photo. Superior Sélection, knocking Star-san down from the throne!

Mikkeller X APUJAN Cucumber Wit Norell
Cucumber and curry (took the photo too early) clicked comfortably. But this feels weaker than the initial bottled batch. And outrageously expensive. But I promised Moriarty to match his Lambic with a Wheat.

Sopntandubleblueberry 2015 Norell
This must be the most mangled entry ever. It wasn't even used by the creator so let me park my teacup of forgotten Spontan here. Delicious and mellow after uncorked nine months (meanwhile stored in a neutral vessel)

2-Year Unblended Oude Lambiek Foeder #51 Norell
Unique treat from Master AhDe! Only 30 kegs in Asia. Pure and clean Lambic, almost no carbonation. Smooth Sour.

One of those beers that you never ever want it to finish. Mouthsmashing hops, even long after its BBday. Juniper and all that jazz.

No. I could have a much better cuppa for half the price. Why on Earth drink coffee through a beer that's not there?

American Dream Dry-Hopped Norell
Not an American Nightmare. Sturdy and solid, healthy beer. This is old-school style meeting IPL, reminding me of my grandpa's hop-heavy Swedish pilsners.

Unusually clear and bitter for a Wit. But I like it! Confusion about name and ABV. I know it's the generic Mikkeller housebeer, but what to do when Untappd says Yongle is 4.5?

Bean Geeks - Session Porter Norell
97% coffee, 2% bitter chocolate, 1% beer. Quite silly liquid to sell in a taproom, could be farkin' perfect at a café.

Experimental Hop Project: HBC 472 Norell
Definitely herbal. Dandelions, yes why not? Experimentally revisiting this pellet Pale. Breewardingly bitter but not a mouthsmash because hops taking the backseat. Brewed at Belgium. Bloody xpensive.

The Idaho 7 DDH Pale Ale Norell
Idaho identity is clear, the sparkling bitter grapefruit present but subdued due to its DDH procedure. Attractive, not aggressive straafness; more cat's tongue than sandpaper. Easily forgotten this is merely a Sessionstrength PA. Would happily have again!

I never had konatsu orange, but I can imagine it's korrekt. However, this Sour has no lambic punch at all, tasting more like a light breeze of Berliner. Persimmon silkiness and citrus carbonation. But disappointed, I expected it to rearrange my teeth.

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse Frederiksdal Cherry Norell
Tonguecurler cherry, excellent combo of BW and tart fruit. Kind ABV that lets the flavors take center stage.
Interesting! If blind test I would say this is a bitter British Bitter but it is Vienna Lager! Quite hoppy after the initial caramel touchdown. Plenty of personality but a full pint would be too much of its plauder.

Mikroglass. Gluggable in a good way. Bitter effect on the back sides of the tongue, like a gentle grapefruit. Great flavor for 2.8%abv.
