Spontan Cherry from Mikkeller made with cherries from the Frederiksdal plantation. It’s much better than the ‘Kriek Vanilje’ I tasted earlier this year; it’s less bitter, a bit sweeter, and tastes more of cherry - a superb kriek lambic!

I was disappointed with this one. It has a nice cherry aroma and a full taste and mouthfeel, but there is this sharp, astringent bitterness at the back of the palate, that feels like I just threw up, which unfortunately ruins the experience for me.

#3rdwindow. Wieder ein großes Bouquet von reifen Sauerkirschen, dunkler Schokolade und einem Hauch Marzipan. Knackige Säure auf der Zunge, saftige Früchte, rote Beeren. Dazu eine harmonische Eichenreifung, Vanille, Alkohol. Feines Reifepotenzial :)

Very sour and acidic, would’ve hoped a softer touch for a barrel-aged sour. Big on cherry. Monotonous.
