Thank you Dan M. for the beer share and thank you Carol R. for the glass. Awesome good friends! šš Sweet maple š syrup boozy aroma. More going on with the taste. Barrel-aged and sweet. Tasty though. Sipper brew at 11.1% ABV & 50 IBU's.

This is a decent beer, and brings in some of the French Toast flavor, but I prefer the straight Backwoods Bastard. For a French Toast flavor Iād look at Roakās French Toast Devil Dog or its BA big brother.

Maple syrup... Think of breakfast while taking a sip and it will take you straight there.

BBA5, #10. Breakfast in a bottle. Or a nightcap, your choice. Heavy on the sweet, with the maple flavors. Balanced with the boozy, with the booze. Rich and creamy, very flavorful.

A sweet toffee up front. Syrup in the middle. Sweet boozy end. Pretty much sweet on sweet. Great winter warmer.

Very maple heavy, the scotch ale lends itself heartily to this flavor profile. Not as strong French toast as I'd love, but significant cinnamon maple flavors. An admirable effort for sure

Excellent in small doses. Love the Backwoods bastard, but the maple is a little heavy here and too sweet for my personal taste. Definitely reminds me of French toast and they hit the nail on the head there!
