Good but the cinnamon is a little too overpowering. The aroma is absolutely amazing!

Didn’t know what to expect but it’s a pretty good beer after a bit! I will say it’s a bit strong.

Chestnut w/beige foam. Aroma of absolutely butter-&-maple-drenched french toast. Palate hits the nuances of toasty-bready-mapley-buttery warm stacks, w/cinnamon & vanilla within bounds. One of the best 'variants' I've had in a long while.

Sweet and rich maple, vanilla, and cinnamon aromas and flavors. The bourbon barrel aged character is very subtle. Definitely a dessert beer.

This may be the strangest beer I've ever had, it really does leave a French toast aftertaste.

A combination of Three flavors not made for a Scottish ale are present. Cinnamon, maple, and vanilla. I was really hoping they would work together. They don’t. Mix these flavors on waffles. Not in an ale.

Maple, cinnamon made for a brunch; pour it on your French toast

One of my favorites beers of all-time given the breakfast treatment with sweet flavors of maple and cinnamon. 11.1% ABV. Happy Sunday! 🍺

Sorry—not my favorite Bastard: can’t taste (or smell) any “barrel”! A tad cinnamon-burned for me.

Smells and tastes exactly as advertised. Syrupy. Maple tones were very strong.

This tastes like fancy French toast on Christmas morning! Excellent cinnamon, maple & vanilla notes with the bourbon barrel. Paired well with a bacon cheddar cheeseburger with guacamole & maple baked beans.

This is such a brilliant beer. Absolutely pinpointed the French toast profile. At 11.1%, it is somehow not boozy or overly sweet.

Got the last of the keg. Glad I did because this is delicious.

This is good and need to revisit another bottle, maybe a little warmer. A lot of flavor and very adjunct forward. Wouldn’t mind some more barrel and base beer coming through, though it’s not sickeningly sweet either.

Perhaps a tad sweet. Needs to be more room temp to get full flavor. Malty underneath

Flavors are muddled, maple is too prominent, overall cloying and sweet

Fireplace friendly sipper for those frosty evenings or mornings.

sickly sweet, fine for a dessert but wish it was closer to it’s original
