I wanted to try this variant of Backwards Bastard so I stopped by Village Tap for an 8-oz pour. The maple flavor definitely predominates, along with a little bit of cinnamon, vanilla, and subtle Bourbon. Glad I tried it, though I won't seek it out again.

Seriously good, true to the flavor profile, dessert beer. Heavy and full of flavor. This should be your last beer for the day as it will overpower anything else.

This would pair amazingly with a fat piece of NY style cheesecake. Founders… proving once again why you’re one of my favorites.
