Vanilla nose up front. Smells sweeter than it tastes. Cinnamon and maple syrup flavors prominent but not too much. Very little alcohol warmth. Solid scotch ale!! Love a wee heavy for desert!

Maple syrup bomb on both nose and palate. Sweet entry but does have some mild bitterness on the finish to clean things up a bit. Fun stuff but one in a session is great plenty.

Ooh I like this. Good maple flavor without being overpowering like so many maple beers are.

Bourbon barrel, maple, what's not to love? Sweet and sophisticated, but still an obvious ale.

As good as I remember. I'm not a big scotch fan per se, so I look for Scotch Ales that have something extra. This one has vanilla, cinnamon, maple, all kinds of nice tastes that go well together.

Syrupy sweetness mars a good ale - brown with medium tan head, nice thick chew, heavy maple aroma and flavor, syrupy thick drippy sweetness distracts from strong base ale
