A 4 Pack surprise! Dated 10/8/2019 called my name on the store shelf! Didn’t know it till I opened it. Aged 2 1/2 years. Wish I had a fresh one to compare. Not sure it holds a 5 rating for its aging.

The 2019 release just doesn’t do it for me. It seems more coffee-like and acidic, and like it’s missing something. It just doesn’t taste that good.

Super sweet and intense flavor. Maybe a bit too much on the sweet side for me. Can’t drink more than a few sips.

Still underwhelming even with some age. Thin. Some maple. Like an imperial brown ale. Woo-hoo. Who fucking cares

This is getting worse as it ages. A subtle sourness is slowly replacing the maple. The bitter coffee notes are getting more astringent. It’s slowly turning into a black cherry flavored cough medicine I fear.

Not holding up nearly as well as I thought it would. I bought a case in 2019 and let a bunch sit in the cellar based on the reviews and reputation of CBS. Now that the beer is pretty flat, I'm stuck trying to finish the case before it gets worse.

They're not lying about the imperial description. Was not prepared for the burst of flavor. Its almost overwhelming. Still good though.
