Visueel: lichtbruin fijn schuim, zwart bier. Aroma: koffie, chocolade en een hint van karamel. Smaak; bovengemiddeld zoet, gemiddeld bitter. Flinke body en smaakintensiteit, hoog in alcohol en weinig koolzuur. I love it!

Smell is of chocolate. Earthy coffee dominates the pallet. Chocolate with a bit of maple finish. overall age has helped this

Age helped this. Better than I rememeber roast has fallen off more. Get more sweetness from the maple.

Smaakvolle stout. Initieel zoet, maar daarna smaken van koffie, chocolade en een vleugje vanille die lang blijven nazinderen. Niet echt boozy

Great roasty vintage stout for a snow day. Maple brings smoothness. Little coffee taste remains. And the booziness is mellowed.

(4.35) Roasted coffee, tobacco, maple, chocolate and wood finishing in a mixture of sweetness, dried dark fruits and light booze. Thick-ish, yet refreshing. Good balance of flavours, the booze and tobacco dominates a bit too much to really excel for me

Satisfying as I watch the opening ceremony. Not sure how this pre-pandemic version was sitting on a shelf.

Held up better than 2018 but bigger bottle. Maple fades after short time anyway.

Right. Dropped off just a touch but still big maple and cacao notes. Sweet bourbon but no oak.

Booziness appears to have fallen off a little. Still an excellent beer! But compared to what I know this beer has been, it's dropped off.
