NLIP. The amount of coffee, wood, bourbon and maple syrup they packed into the aroma of this is unbelievable.

I like how this is noticeably sweeter than KBS yet not enough to describe it as sweet. Maybe that hard water sensation lends to the non sweetness. Also really like how the flavors (vanilla, dark chocolate, nuts, coffee) are subtle while being very smooth.

One of my last remaining bottles. While the intoxicating aroma may have faded a little, this beer is still a wonder. So complex and so smooth, for the life of me I will never understand why Founders stopped brewing it.

An amazing classic, this year is thinner in my opinion but always awesome. On nose a buge aroma of cocoa nibs and coffee. Pours dense and oily with a thick brown head, sweet and smooth, hints of maple syrup, chocolate and coffe well rounded by bourbon

This could be the best stout I've ever tried. If I could give it 6 caps, I would. My neighbor had a couple of these stashed away, brought them out to celebrate the end of my cancer treatments!
