Pretty okay. Hoppy with lots of citrusy fruit aromas. Weird leathery flavor sneaks in at the end. Not right for the style.

Rose De Gambrinus (2023) GRVLR
Frambozen! Dry. Tart and sweet. Raspberry aroma is immaculate.

Hazy, bitter thing. Citrusy and floral aromatics in a dry body. Fantastic brew.

It said “with grapefruit.” It definitely is! Properly bitter, but well balanced. Very juicy. The flavors are quite bright. Cloudy hazed body. Nice!

All about the hops, which are pretty dank. Tropical fruit. Grassy with some herbal undertones. Sorta tangy, very bitter, despite how light it is.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2018) GRVLR
Quality geuze. Sour and dry. Slight grassiness. Smooth and refreshing.

Juicy. Stone fruit and mango. Malty with the style specific piney bitterness.

Unmistakeable honey base. Strawberry sweet and sour candy flavor profile.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) GRVLR
Such a deep flavor profile. The underlay is all KBS. Rich cocoa and vanilla accents envelop the base. Bitter coffee is dancing in and out. The body is very thin on the palate.
Quite nutty. Hazelnuts and chocolate envelop a coffee infused roasty malt body. The barrel aged character, the bourbony oakiness, of standard KBS is subdued. Slightly boozy.

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA GRVLR
120 is pretty good. This is pretty amazing. Big thanks to Scott F. Sharing it with my pops. Tastes like no other Imperial IPA. More like barley wine. But that’s cool.
Barrel aging is big on the flavor profile. Coffee is subtle. Vanilla is prominent.

Bottle Shop Series: Highball Drifter (2021) GRVLR
A lot of flavor. Fruity, maraschino cherries. Bourbony, barrel aged character.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) GRVLR
Drinking with a German colleague. He approves and has authorized an exception to the Reinheitsgebot. But a 50cL pour! Egads!

Celebrating a birthday…not mine. Fantastic brew.

Kriek 100% Lambic (2021) GRVLR
Exceptional. The tartness of the cherries sits well with sourness of the spontaneous fermentation. Drying finish.

Founder’s Oatmeal Honey Stout GRVLR
Soft, creamy oatmeal body. Roasty malt, hints of tobacco and leather. The honey is lingering about, but it is not forward. Bitter finish. Dries out nicely. Very smooth. #pureMichigan

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut Bxl Beerfest V.2022 GRVLR
Blended for BXLBeerFest. Rare! Two 4 y/o lambics and one 3 y/o, aged on a single use cognac barrel. Absolutely sublime. Soft mouthfeel. Gentle sourness. Peppery bite. Cognac overtones.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2018-2019) GRVLR
Courtesy Chris Y. Sour and funky. Almost no carbonation, but it’s surprisingly great like that. Slightly acidic.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2022) GRVLR
They’ve honestly outdone themselves on this. And I’m enjoying every bit of it.

Bitter orange on lambic is not a bad thing. At all. Really digging this.

Beautifully floral. Nice spice. Fruitiness is a mix of cranberry and apple. This is just amazing.

Spontandryhop Centennial GRVLR
Dry and woody. Tarty. Mildly Sour. Hoppiness is real subtle. Smooth and well balanced. Nothing is off here. Missing Denmark.

Canned on 20/7…this is fresh as fuck, and it tastes like it. Hoppy, but nuanced. A lot of citrus, grapefruit and lemon. Soft on the palate. Finished up with a mild bitterness.
Hoppy and boozy. Peachy. Sweet. Turns bitter at the end, and then the hop burn sets in and it’s intense. Big and bold for sure.

Getting ready for Denmark. Maltiness similar to the other Ampersands is blurring the unmistakable hoppy dankness lurking about. Tropical mango is the primary essence, the dry-hop is keeping this interesting. Kinda sweet.
Smooth, fluffy oat rich body. Hoppy. Tropical fruitiness is mostly pineapple, with peaches and lemon sneaking in. Bitter. A bit rubbery.

Sweet, malty backbone. Hoppy: tropical fruitiness, pineapple. Bitter and dry. Boozy.

Single hop Idaho 7, giving off strong citrus fruit notes: grapefruit and pomelo. Some floral and piney aromas. A touch malty on the finish, with some mild rubber.
It’s dry and bitter! Single hop, and dry hopped too, you’d think this would be more hop forward. Mostly herbal, a touch musty, maybe some citrus… easy to drink, light, crisp finish.
Light and citrusy. Definitely wheaty. This would session pretty well…but I gotta get on a plane.

Still juicy and still tasty. Last had this as COVID was seeming to surge upon us, fitting coda as we seem to be getting it under control.

Gonna have to bump the rating. This is way better that my previous rating. Roasty and toasty!

Blend of the 4 giants, aka the 4 Founders flagship IPAs. It’s okay, neat concept, so-so execution. But, hey, I’m in W Michigan, so there’s that.
