Was now or never to open it. I would pay a ridiculous amount of money for another one of these. One of the bigger beers ive tried. Super full body and insanely rich with chocolate and a subtle note of maple. When to open the 2018 release?

(4.35) Roasted coffee, tobacco, maple, chocolate and wood finishing in a mixture of sweetness, dried dark fruits and light booze. Thick-ish, yet refreshing. Good balance of flavours, the booze and tobacco dominates a bit too much to really excel for me

Great roasty vintage stout for a snow day. Maple brings smoothness. Little coffee taste remains. And the booziness is mellowed.

I read where some feel that CBS loses flavor quality during aging. I can’t say it’s any better but I don’t think this particular bottle is any worse. Maybe those that are aged on the Meijer shelf suffer a bit more. Still boozy after all these years🎼.

Nice and mild maple syrup and bourbon tones. Smooth and still boozy.

Smooth, malty, a little hot. Chocolate, raisin, bourbon, maple aftertaste. Just as good as fresh.

Sharing with Shelby. Thanks Don for drinking all beers on the face of the earth, reviewing and helping us make up our mind.

Aged 3 years: strong dark coffee flavor & maple right on the nose. Smooth with some nutty notes as well. Very good if you love dark roast coffee (which I most certainly do)
