Breakfast Stout (2017)

Stout - Imperial / Double Oatmeal

The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and Sumatra and Kona coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

Roasty coffee, chocolate, and oatmeal. Not sure why I cellared a breakfast stout but I’m not at all mad about it.

Pulled this gem from my beer vault. Still tasty considering it was bottled Oct. 2017. Still feeling the effects of Covid on my taste buds. Still an enjoyable brew.

Mycket kaffe och chockad, gott. Klassisk som kanske stått i ölkällaren lite för länge.

23 degrees this morning, as the sun has come out in full strength all the leaves from the birch tree came raining down, pretty magical...

Late Breakfast stout! Lost bottles in a box stashed in the cold room for a few years. It held the road very well. Still tons of dark chocolate and coffee. Very impressed on how good this 4 year old + beer has become!

Forward with the black coffee, just undertones of the chocolate, and the oatmeal is taking a little bit of a backseat, it’s really good, and you can literally pick out each flavor individually, very well sewn together. And the bitterness is spot on for me

A cold, rainy day, an afternoon in, a book, and a cellared Breakfast Stout make for a pleasant experience. Good things *can* happen in 2020!
