Good beer that becomes great once it warms. A bit like a maple bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine but sweeter and without any hop flavor and lower bitterness.

Not a summer crusher here but it’s cooler now and it’s a stogie beer so…yeah. Beer is very well balanced with sweetness, the BAing, feel and flavor.

Very sweet caramel-maple with underlying molasses and a wonderful blend of bourbon. It warms up beautifully and the sweetness dissipates, gets even better!

WOW, bourbon, maple and molasses really grab ya. Picked it up in Battle reek MI. It has a CA CRV stamp so I should be able to get it here, hope so.

This has aged beautifully. Deep flavors. Still nice maple sweetness. I wish I had another.

Still my favorite beer ever but can’t lie and say that age isn’t helping it out. The bourbon and maple is almost gone but the molasses and caramel is still there. Still ridiculously easy drinking and smooth.

Sweet, boozy nose. Rich, roasty. Sweet, bourbon flavor. Maple notes. Molasses bite. Aged well. Great BA beer

Big tastes of rich maple, or is it the molasses? Hard to tell, but damn good either way. Pairs nicely with snowed in, LoL

Found a couple of these during holidays, absolutely love the flavor profile of Better Half. Sublime sweetness in this barrel aged old ale.
