Devil Dancer (2015)

2015 Devil Dancer. Holy cow it still kicks ass. Listed as a triple ipa at 12%. It has always been close to a barley wine in my view and after 7 years I say it is one now. Strong bitterness up front but sweetness at the end.

French Toast Bastard

I thought the additions were dang near perfect. Amazing nose. Still a Bastard underneath- nice maple and spice.

KBS Hazelnut (2022)

Pretty dang good. I could handle a bit more sweet but I’m sure it’s perfect for others.

4 Giants IPA

Backwoods Bastard (2011)

10 years old! Very smooth. But lost some complexity and depth.

Curmudgeon Old Ale (2012)

Lost a bit. Not surprising. Much better as it warmed.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018)

This has aged beautifully. Deep flavors. Still nice maple sweetness. I wish I had another.

Fudge! Coffee. Nice sweetness from the maple. This is really excellent. A bit thin to be considered in the top tier for me. But taste is awesome.
