Dearlord do I love a well-brewed stout that perfectly pairs barrels and coffee, especially this kicked up smooth espresso. Geebus, that’s outstanding.

11-14-19 from cellar. Smell bourbon soaked chocolate covered espresso beans, coconut. Taste bourbon, coconut, chocolate, coffee.

Not sure which coffee was used. Tastes a bit bitter.

Bottled 11/14/2019. Still loaded with espresso coffee flavor. Mild barrel, somewhat thin when cold. Warming increases the barrel and perceived thickness. Very good.

Nicely aged. Still potent/Bourbon. Espresso beans still there. Chocolate. Roasted malts. Almond. Really needed this. Been some time, Untappd!

Unfortunately time hasn’t done this well. There’s a good roasty sweetness on the nose, but the palate has started to see green pepper peek through. Not gone yet, but the booze and espresso bitterness together prove to be a bit heavy. Does well to warm.

Hadn’t had one of these since I bought last year. Brought one up from the basement today without having any idea of the bottling date. Happy anniversary to this guy.

Bottled 11/14/19 and hidden away in the back of the fridge. Not sure if a year of aging has improved it. Coffee notes are still prominent and a bit harsh. Booziness remains as well. Still very good but not the best of the KBS array.

I worked since 6 am, also fit in snowblowing and shoveling twice. I'm chilled to the bone. Cracking one from the cellar. Coffee and chocolate coming through on this one.

Lite ektoner i doften men mestadels kaffe och mörk choklad. Kaffet dominerar smaken såklart men finns även hintar av choklad. Avslutningen har främst en torr bourbon touch över sig. Bra kropp annars och trevlig krämighet.
