Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Multiple midnight black espresso shots, liberally sprinkled dark cocoa shavings, boozy bourbon, charred oak barrel and generously scraped vanilla beans pods. Always a treat, still developing beautifully 3 years after bottling. I remember: $50 a 4-pack!

Tasty and smooth. Too bad we can’t buy from this brewery anymore once we drink up what we have.

Nowt I can say that hasn't been said before. One of the finest stouts ever made, and the ageing hasn't hurt it any.

Amazing! This is still a benchmark beer that others are still trying to replicate. Pity the have stopped shopping to Australia from what I'm led to believe.

Gave this a 1.75 3 years ago. One of two beers that my cousin gave me after we moved my dads pool table into his place. Either my palate change dramatically, it aged better like fine wine, or just a good feeling. Went down to damn smooth though

Koffie, chocola, bourbon en vanille. Wat een topbier is dit ook. Lag al even in de kelder, maar dat komt het bier alleen maar ten goede 🥰

Smells like peanut shells and coffee beans. Tastes like coffee, dark chocolate, peanuts, and barley. Classic BA stout.

A rare shelved brew, keg-cracked at the source. OMG.... it was so worth tom h. and his international taxi search to get us here. WTAF. Canada! USA! Get your shit together. It shouldn't be this hard. We're next door neighbors FFS. KBS Awesomeness. 👏

This was a stowaway that I recently cracked open. When I say this was smooth, yet rich and full bodied coffee goodness. Whew.
